Meet Cynthia — and the story that brought her here.
My name is Cynthia Gonzalez, and I’m the owner of the Law Office of Cynthia L. Gonzalez. Along with my support staff, I work hard every day to provide our community with competent, affordable legal help.
My husband and I have called Ventura County home for over 30 years, and it’s where we raised our family. Growing up here, I always pictured myself as a judge — even then, I wanted to make a real difference in people’s lives. As I learned more about the legal system, I realized family law was where I could do exactly that. The first time I stood up and argued a case as a law student, I knew becoming an attorney was my calling. Watching attorneys advocate for their clients showed me exactly what I wanted my career to be.
I attended Whittier College of Law in Costa Mesa, and for four years, I drove more than 120 miles round trip — three to six times a week, after work, through 405 traffic — just to get to class. It wasn’t an easy journey, but it was one I needed to make.
